Medical aid in Gaza is at risk of coming to a halt due to significant shortages. In overcrowded hospitals, surgeries are performed with minimal anesthesia. The injured are lying in the hallways and outside on the streets. Additional relief workers and medical supplies are ready to enter Gaza as soon as possible, but more assistance is urgently needed.

Never has a child started a war. Yet, it is precisely children who often suffer the consequences of brutal wartime violence. We are deeply concerned about the escalating violence in the Middle East. War is unpredictable, but we ensure that children can rely on us. This also applies to children growing up in other conflict zones, such as Ukraine or Sudan. Support for them remains crucial. We cannot do this alone.

People in Israel and the occupied territories urgently need assistance. The escalation of the conflict puts many innocent civilians' lives at risk. The Red Cross will, as always, continue to provide help without taking sides in conflict situations. Your donation contributes to our humanitarian aid efforts in both Israel and Gaza, as well as the West Bank.

Food assistance
WFP was working with 23 bakeries at the start of the emergency response and providing bread for 200,000 people in shelters.
Cash assistance
WFP provides cash-based transfers so people can buy food in shops that remain open. Nearly 250,000 people in Gaza have used cash assistance in shops since 7 October, with around 11,000 people redeeming their electronic vouchers every day to buy food from shops.

Children are suffering from hunger, lack of shelter and are facing terror every day. With limited aid able to reach them, children are facing a humanitarian catastrophe. The situation is evolving fast and the violence continues. Our teams have been working around the clock to preposition vital supplies - such as drinking water, hygiene products, food parcels and blankets - to meet the needs of impacted children. In the last week, Save the Children’s first supplies entered Gaza from Egypt, including medical kits, consumables, and water. A truck carrying 45,000 bottles of water was one of Save the Children's first deliveries to arrived in Gaza
